To fulfill this purpose, we may collect or temporarily access the following information:

a. Website Content (LinkedIn Posts)
  • The Extension temporarily reads the text content of the LinkedIn post that the user has open in their active tab.
  • This content is used only to generate an AI-powered comment.
  • No personal profile data, messages, private information, or browsing history is collected.
b. User Preferences (Saved Locally)
  • Tone settings, comment style, and similar preferences are stored via Chrome’s storage API.
  • These preferences do not contain sensitive or personal data.
c. Authentication Information (Optional, via ace10x.com)
  • When logging in to the Ace10x service:
  • Account credentials (email/password) are submitted directly to https://ace10x.com.
  • Authentication occurs on our secure server and not inside the extension code.
  • The extension does not store your credentials.
  • It only uses the secure session/token returned by your interaction with ace10x.com.

2. How We Use the Information

We use collected information solely to:

  • Generate relevant LinkedIn comments based on the post text
  • Provide customized output based on user-selected settings
  • Authenticate users with our backend API
  • Improve user experience and functionality

We do NOT:

  • Sell data
  • Share data with third parties
  • Track users
  • Collect analytics or browsing history
  • Use data for advertising or profiling

The Extension operates only when the user interacts with it directly.

3. Data Transmission

a. To LinkedIn

No data is transmitted to LinkedIn.

b. To ace10x.com

When the user requests a generated comment, the Extension may securely send:

  • The LinkedIn post text
  • The selected tone/style preferences

to https://ace10x.com solely for generating the comment.

We do not store this text permanently.
It is processed in real time and discarded.

4. Data Sharing

Your data is never shared, sold, rented, or transferred to third parties except:

  • When required to fulfill the Extension’s core functionality (i.e., calling ace10x.com to generate a comment)
  • When legally required (e.g., lawful requests)

We do not use or transfer data for:

  • Creditworthiness assessment

5. Permissions Explanation

The Extension uses the minimum required Chrome permissions:

  • activeTab: Used only when the user clicks the extension to read the current LinkedIn post content.
  • scripting: Injects a small script into the active LinkedIn tab to extract post text.
  • tabs: Used only to detect the active tab and ensure scripts run only on LinkedIn.
  • storage: Stores user preferences (tone, style, settings).

  • https://www.linkedin.com/* — Required to read LinkedIn post content.
  • https://ace10x.com/* — Required to send post text to the Ace10x API to generate comments.

The Extension does not access other websites.

6. Data Retention

We do not retain or permanently store:

  • LinkedIn post content
  • Personal data
  • Authentication information within the extension

User preferences remain stored locally until removed by the user.

7. Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security measures:

  • HTTPS-only communication
  • No remote code execution
  • Strict Content Security Policy
  • No third-party scripts or trackers
  • No access to user cookies unless explicitly permitted by Chrome

Only necessary, minimal data is processed securely.
